Who is Branding Association of Malaysia?
Branding Association of Malaysia was established in July 2000 as an advisory body to provide assistance to differentiate and build brands owned by local SMEs.

What do you do?
Our main objective is to help local brand owners to incorporate the Blue Ocean Strategy in building their brands locally while gearing towards the global markets.

With continuous growth, Branding Association of Malaysia has received various recognitions in government forums and through formal representations as we welcome more local SMEs to join us.

How do you help SMEs?
We aim to see the rise of Malaysian brands through the world through collaborations of various resources and effort. Our commitment to local SMEs is to provide support, education and development of brands through branding advice, consultations, legal services, networking and funding.

With that, we function as the platform for your brand’s opportunities in blue markets. As we increase our home grown branding knowledge and brand value through differentiations of brand in new markets, we are set towards sharing the distinctiveness of Malaysia with the world.

Who is eligible to become a member?
Branding Association of Malaysia welcomes all SMEs to join our membership as our full members or affiliate members. We will assist members to introduce, differentiate and build their brands to be Blue, be Branded by incorporating the Blue Ocean Strategy in their branding.

What are the differences of a full member and an affiliate member?
Full members must have experiences to promote its brands while supporting the objectives of the Association.

An affiliate member must have the capacity to develop and promote Malaysian brands. Approval as our affiliate member is subject to the discretion of the Association’s Brand Committee.

What are the benefits of becoming a member?
As a member, enjoy exclusive benefits including participating in various brand events and activities to enhance your branding knowledge and skills for the global arena. With MATRADE, MITI, Selangor State Government and SMIDEC as our brand representations, experience privilege access to grow your brands from local to the international market.

How do I become a member?
You may obtain the Membership Application Form at our office at Unit 3-27, 3rd Flr, FAS Business Avenue, No 1 Jln Perbandaran, Kelana Jaya, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Brand Events & Activities

What are the events and activities conducted?
The Association organises brand events and activities regularly to help equip and strengthen members’ knowledge in branding through branding seminars, talks, workshops, trade fairs, exhibitions, dinners and other gatherings. Covering a wide range of branding topics and current economic issues, the Association is constantly looking to upgrade the quality and content of our activities to further benefit our members.

How do the events & activities help local SMEs?
The Brand Knowledge Enhancement & Networking Activities are mostly held quarterly including brand seminars, talks, brand tours and brand workshops in collaboration with Pembangunan Malaysia Sumber Berhad. There are also annual activities aimed to expand your networks and business alliances while providing constructive business exposure to the industry.

The Brand Evaluation Series is a country wide, cross industry programme that helps your company assess internal systems and operations, and rate your brand performance. This is a great instrument to help you monitor your brand development to stay competitive in the market. With better understanding of your brand, you will be able to counteract to any possible or occurring crisis.

How do I get the updates of these events and activities?
Announcements and notices of upcoming brand events and activities will be circulated primarily through emails to all our members. Occasionally, we will send Direct Mailers and newsletters to inform our members about the upcoming events and activities.
